Metropolitan Fine Arts Center (MFAC) was founded in 1999 with a vision of fine arts education in a creative and encouraging environment. MFAC has two convenient locations in Northern Virginia. One center is located in the Landsdowne Shopping Center in Alexandria, Virginia, and our new location is open in Fairfax Station, Virginia.
MFAC is facilitated by over 25 professional dance and music teachers and five staff/support members. We are Northern Virginia’s fastest growing fine arts center.
All of MFAC’s teachers are experienced in their specific style of teaching, and many dance teachers hold university degrees in their field. MFAC teachers are chosen not only for their qualifications, but also for their ability to relate to the students they teach.
MFAC music teachers have a minimum of a university degree in music with many holding masters’ degrees in that discipline. We teach everyone from beginners to very advanced level students.
Metropolitan Fine Arts Center (MFAC) is the premiere extracurricular fine arts school in the Metropolitan DC area. Our faculty and staff strive to provide our students with the highest level of expertise and technical proficiency in the fine and performing arts. MFAC offers over 175 classes to over 800 students each week. We invite you to visit our two state of the art facilities spanning over 10, 000 square feet located in Alexandria and Fairfax Station, VA.
